Arctic Express Inc. has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a SmartWay Transport Partner.

The firm earned the highest classification from the EPA on its initial application to the program. SmartWay is an EPA initiative (see www.epa.gov/otaq/smartway/index.htm) designed to curb emissions through improvements in several key areas, including aerodynamic equipment, engine standards, tire maintenance, and idle control.

Arctic Express is a truckload carrier specializing in temperature-controlled transport. It has about 200 employees and serves customers throughout the contiguous 48 states.
