Assisting transport refrigeration unit (TRU) owners and operators to comply early with the new TRU model year 2003 California Air Resources Board (CARB) advisory, Rypos is offering up to a $400 savings on its Rypos diesel particulate filter/low-emission TRU (DPF/LETRU) and Proventia flow-through filter (FTF) trailer-mount filter products.

The deadline for the model year 2003 CARB Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) compliance is December 31, 2010. The Rypos MY2003 Early Compliance Coupon Program extends from through September 15, 2010.

The Rypos DPF/LETRU is a self-cleaning diesel exhaust filter that uses an electrically conductive sintered metal fiber medium and electrical power from the TRU to regenerate the filter when needed. The Proventia passive FTF uses engine exhaust temperature to regenerate. Either option can generally be installed in less than two hours and provides the full seven years of compliance. Rypos MY2003 Early Compliance Coupon Program benefits and deadlines include:

•$250 if presented with payment by August 31, 2010

•$100 if presented with payment by September 15, 2010

Limit is one coupon per unit. The program does not apply to the bobtail FTF or “straight truck” FTF. It only applies to Carrier or Thermo King model year 2003 TRUs.
