The Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) workshop that was scheduled for May 26, 2010, has been canceled.

The new TRU ATCM Revision Workshop schedule is:

•Date: July 8, 2010

•Time: 10 am to noon

•Place: Byron Sher Auditorium at CalEPA Headquarters, 1001 I Street, Sacramento CA

At the workshop, California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff will present draft regulatory language for amendments to the TRU ATCM, including changing the in-use performance standard requirement for model year 2003 engines from the current Ultra-Low-Emission TRU (ULETRU) in-use standard to the Low-Emission TRU (LETRU) in-use standard, for 25 horsepower and greater engines.

Similarly, CARB staff will propose language changing the in-use performance standard requirement for model year 2003 and 2004 engines from the current ULETRU in-use standard to the LETRU in-use standard, for less-than-25-hp engines. CARB staff is working on a regulatory advisory that explains this in more detail.
