CRST International plans
to change subsidiary name

Sep 8, 2010 10:36 AM

Privately held transportation company CRST International has announced a name change for its largest operating subsidiary, CRST Van Expedited. The subsidiary will officially become CRST Expedited as of September 15, 2010, in an effort to better reflect the capabilities and services the company provides for its customers.

CRST Expedited is used for time-sensitive loads, high-value loads, and loads that require additional security. Expedited offers the concept of team drivers, a key advantage to providing secure, expedited shipping as the truck rarely stops moving. When it does, one driver remains with the truck for extra security.

CRST International says it is the sixth-largest truckload carrier and the largest expedited company in the United States.

Through its four divisions, the Cedar Rapids IA-based firm provides an array of transportation services, including van, temperature-controlled, and flatbed, as well as brokerage and transportation management services. Its operating divisions are made up of CRST Expedited, CRST Malone, CRST Dedicated Services, and CRST Logistics. For more information, visit www.crst.com.
