SYSCO Corp has promoted Michael W Green to executive vice-president, Northeast and North Central US Foodservice Operations, and Stephen F Smith to executive vice-president, South and West US Foodservice Operations, effective Jan 1, 2008. Both will report to Kenneth F Spitler, SYSCO's president and chief operating officer. Green previously was senior vice-president of the company's Midwest region broadline companies, while Smith served as senior vice-president of the company's Southeast region broadline companies. Scott A Sonnemaker has been promoted from president of SYSCO's Portland OR company to senior vice-president, with responsibility for the West region. John E Nolan, executive vice-president of that operation, will assume Sonnemaker's role as president. Both promotions will be effective Jan 1, 2008.
