Par Logistics Management Systems (PAR LMS), a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation, has been selected by Jackson MS-based KLLM Transport Services for fleetwide integration of Par’s RT-200 refrigerated trailer tracking system. Par will begin the rollout of all 2,200-plus units in May 2009 and will continue to deploy systems throughout the year.

The RT-200 system will allow KLLM constant real-time visibility and remote control of its refrigerated trailers while producing better yields in asset utilization and fuel savings. Integration of this state-of-the-art, cellular-based system will optimize protection of perishable products while in transit.

Joe Stianche, KLLM’s vice president of operations, said, “We feel strongly that the proactive use of advanced wireless technologies such as Par’s will be a major step forward for KLLM in our quest to remain among the elite refrigerated service providers in North America.”
