to PowerVue Enterprise

Cadec Global announced that long-time customer Pilgrimís Pride Corporation (NYSE: PPC), the worldís second-largest chicken producer and a subsidiary of JBS USA, has upgraded to Cadecís new PowerVue Enterprise system.
Formerly a user of Cadecís Mobius product, Pilgrimís elected to upgrade to PowerVue mainly to take advantage of its electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (eDVIR) system, workflow and enhanced enterprise-wide integration, and reporting capabilities.
Pilgrimís did evaluate other market offerings before deciding, according to James Bliss, IT analyst for Pilgrimís.
ďWe looked at the usual suspects in fleet management,Ē said Bliss, ďand came away even more impressed with PowerVue. In my opinion, no one can match Cadecís architecture prowess and ease of useófor both drivers and operations staff.Ē
Bliss added that although it was not the primary driver in Pilgrimís decision, the fact that the team could use the Cadec hardware currently installed in its vehicles allowed it to leverage previous investments, lowering cost of ownership.
PowerVue, an SaaS-based fleet management system, provides advanced fleet management features in a single, easy-to-use, secure SaaS platform with in-cab hardware designed specifically for the enterprise-class customer. Pilgrimís has also subscribed to eDVIR, which enables drivers to complete paperless inspection reports compliant with FMCSA regulations; and SpeedTracker, which provides speed-by-road trip data to track driver behavior against established speed limits.
Pilgrimís will begin deployment of all three systems in early 2013, including integration with SAP and Comdataís Inter-Tax system for fuel tax filing.
