The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has been selected by Piedmont Truck Tires Inc as the sole provider of tire retreading systems for the Greensboro NC-based company.

Under the new agreement, Piedmont will immediately install Goodyear retreading equipment in its facility in Graham NC, replacing another supplier. Goodyear’s Unicircle and pre-cure retreading technologies will be used to produce tires for Piedmont customers in the region.

Before this business extension, Goodyear supplied Piedmont commercial tire service outlets with new Goodyear truck tires. The new tire supply relationship will continue, but is supplemented by growth in Goodyear retreaded tire production.

Besides operating retail automotive centers throughout North Carolina, Piedmont specializes in sales and service to commercial truck fleets. Its fleet services include new and retreaded tires, fleet maintenance surveys, a mounted wheel program, tire management programs, contract maintenance, truck repair, rim refurbishing, and emergency road service.
