Ridewell achieves CTEA brake approval

Jan 1, 2009 12:00 PM

Ridewell's Flex-Trac 232-20K auxiliary axle suspension has the only 16.5" × 6" brake approved by the Canadian Transportation Equipment Association (CTEA) for parking brake capacity under CMVSS 121. The brakes were approved by Link-Radlinski Inc. during industry testing for the CTEA's Generic Air Brake Testing Program.

The 20,000-lb.-capacity Flex-Trac (232-20K) is a single-tire, self-steering suspension system built for flexibility. Each unit accommodates a range of ride heights and frame widths and consistently maintains accurate axle location. The suspension is an ideal alternative for leading kingpin suspensions at a lighter weight and lower cost.
