Ken Hartman has been named service contracts business development manager for Thermo King Corporation, responsible for leading strategic business development, sales, and marketing for the service contracts business. He was previously district parts manager for Thermo King's southwest territory, where he was named District Parts Manager of the Year for 2007.

Merchants Terminal Corporation has appointed F. Brooks Royster III as vice president. With more than 35 years of maritime industry experience in both the public and private sectors, he most recently served as executive director of the Maryland Port Administration.

Johanson Transportation Service (JTS) has hired Matthew Holt and Matthew Risser as logistics coordinators in the JTS Perishable division, responsible for customer support, load handling, order management, and carrier relations. Holt is a recent graduate of Fresno State University with a bachelor's degree in communication, and he has managed several produce farms. Risser worked at Electro Scientific Industries for seven years as the traffic supervisor/export compliance officer.
