TET forms strategic alliance with Brenntag

Jan 1, 2009 12:00 PM

Terra Environmental Technologies Inc. (TET) and Brenntag North America announce a mutually exclusive, multi-year strategic alliance designed to efficiently supply the United States and Canada with TerraCair ultra-pure diesel exhaust fluid (DEF).

The agreement between Brenntag and TET, a wholly owned Terra subsidiary, provides for supply of nitrogen products and technical services to customers seeking to improve environmental performance.

To meet new environmental protection regulations beginning in 2010, most producers of diesel engines have announced plans to use Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. To serve this market for SCR aftertreatment technology, an expansive and efficient DEF distribution infrastructure will be required across the United States and Canada.

Demand for DEF is expected to grow exponentially. Through this alliance, customers can source TerraCair from local Brenntag distribution points in small packages, 55-gallon drums, 275-gallon IBCs, and bulk quantities.
