AVA Series a watershed in misting technology

Sep 1, 2002 12:00 PM

The new AVA Series produce misting and reverse osmosis (RO) systems from KES Science & Technology Inc is one of the most important developments in misting since the 360° rotating sprayhead, according to the company.

Both pieces of equipment feature LEDs on their control panels. These lights alert store personnel to the machines' functions at any given time. The produce misting unit has just one mist control unit that will operate virtually any spray delivery style. The advanced control unit gives users no limitations when it comes to the look they want in the front of their case.

With “Push/Pull” technology, by using only about 20% of the water of standard RO units, the AVA Series RO can save thousands of dollars a year in water utility costs. One unit can save up to 50,000 gallons of wastewater per year in a single store. The technology also lessens wear and tear on membranes and pre-filters. One can expect about half the amount of maintenance standard ROs need.
