Dana expands vehicle technology center

Dec 1, 2004 12:00 PM

Dana Corp has completed a $6 million expansion of its heavy vehicle research and development center in Kalamazoo MI. The Heavy Vehicle Technology Center houses the headquarters and research and development center for Dana's Commercial Vehicle Systems group — North America.

This expansion adds 15,000 square feet of research, development, and testing space to the existing 155,000-square-foot facility. A significant investment has also been made in new, technologically advanced test equipment, including the installation of a new MTS axle dynamometer. Additionally, the facility's new 1,000-sq-ft strong floor bedplate strengthens Dana's structural testing capabilities.
