Donaldson improves emissions testing

Mar 1, 2004 12:00 PM

Donaldson Co Inc has upgraded its emissions testing capabilities. The company has commissioned several new engine test cells to validate emission and exhaust system components during development and testing. Highlights of the new testing capabilities include:

  • Upgraded capabilities to perform federal FTP test cycles for particulate matter and gaseous emissions.

  • Upgrades to all dynamometers and controls for improved evaluation of after-treatment products on diesel exhaust emissions.

  • Addition of lab equipment such as the Horiba MEXA-7100D gaseous emissions bench and Sierra Instruments BG-3 transient particulate sampling system.

The new engine emissions test cells complement the company's acoustics test cell and anechoic chambers in the development of noise- and emissions-compliant exhaust systems.
