Thermo King and GE Capital Solutions are offering financing for owner-operators on the TriPac auxiliary power unit (APU).

TriPac provides cost savings by reducing unnecessary fuel consumption; extending truck engine maintenance intervals and reducing wear on the truck engine. TriPac also allows truck owners to comply with anti-idle laws while the driver rests in comfort.

Fleets also are benefiting from TriPac. Faced with the reality of rising fuel costs, Paul Mincey of Adams Motor Express in Carnesville, Georgia, had a decision to make: Save money by outfitting his trucks with TriPac auxiliary idle reduction and temperature management system or experience significant financial loss. The decision was clear and Mincey couldn't be happier with his purchase.

“The fuel savings we have experienced since purchasing the TriPac system has been tremendous,” said Mincey, a new customer of Thermo King who said that Thermo King's reputation for reliability drew him to the product. “We've outfitted 60 of our trucks with the TriPac system already and reduced our tractor engine idle time from 50% to around 7%. The money we save in fuel costs alone will pay for our TriPac system within the first 24 months of purchase.”
