Kenworth picks Haldex PR valve as standard

Mar 1, 2004 12:00 PM

Haldex has announced that the Precision Response (PR) height control valve from its Air Management and Suspension Controls Division has been selected as the standard on all Class 8 trucks equipped with air suspensions for Kenworth Truck Co in the United States and Canada. These include Kenworth T600, T800, W900, T2000, and C500 models.

This PR valve improves reliability and simplifies installation onto Kenworth's new lightweight AG400 Series air-ride suspension. Besides enhancing leveling precision and faster leveling response time, it reduces the two-valve system to a one-valve system and includes upgrading all air lines to 3/8". The PR valve's integrated dump valve eliminates the need for a separately mounted dump valve assembly and piping.

The control arm design enables accurate, quick adjustment during installation. Accurate adjustment by the OEM reduces the need for driver adjustment in the field. In addition, the customizable manifold permits custom manifold port configurations to improve piping routing.
