Peterson Machine Tool Inc, a Merriam KS-based manufacturer of engine-rebuilding and parts-cleaning equipment under new ownership since fall 2002, has a new corporate strategy using the industry's best practices.
Under the new strategy, Peterson will maintain its tradition since the 1940s of offering quality machinery. At the same time, the company will use the most advanced technology in order to offer all engine rebuilders the equipment that meets its stringent standards.
To help communicate the “new Peterson,” the company has launched a new marketing strategy characterized by a new corporate logo. This logo symbolizes the revitalized company spirit and is accompanied by the theme line: “Where the pros go for speed and performance!” This theme line summarizes the company's goal of providing the highest standards in quality equipment for professionals at every level. Peterson engine rebuilding and parts-cleaning machines are specified by engine rebuilders and high-performance race shops, from the largest production shops to one-bay operations.
In addition, Peterson is expanding its in-house engineering department so it can introduce several new products targeted to the performance market this year. Additionally, the sales and marketing department staff is growing in order to react more quickly to customer needs.
