Qualcomm stays up to speed with HOS

Qualcomm Inc's hours of service (HOS) application is being offered to the transportation and logistics industry. The company designed its application as a proactive management tool to help fleets optimize dispatch assignments by providing accurate, up-to-date driver availability information for load planning. The application features:

  • Up-to-date driver availability calculation based on automatic driving time detection using vehicle sensor data, minimi-ing driver interaction and data entry.

  • Web interface for review of driver status, availability, and reports.

  • Automatic HOS reports for driver management and safety audits.

  • Near real-time notification to drivers and dispatch of impending or actual violations.

  • Support hotline available for roadside inspections 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
