Volvo selects ArvinMeritor

The Volvo Group has selected ArvinMeritor Inc's Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business group to supply next-generation air disc brakes for both Renault and Volvo heavy trucks. The four-year agreement begins in 2004 and is valued at more than $250 million.
This most recent contract is a continuation of existing business and confirms ArvinMeritor as preferred supplier of air disc brakes for Volvo's heavy commercial vehicles. Earlier in 2002, ArvinMeritor was also awarded, from the Volvo family of trucks, more new business for its truck axles in North America.
