CARB seeking input on diesel emissions

Jan 1, 2008 12:00 PM

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is developing a regulation to reduce diesel particulate matter (PM) and other emissions from in-use heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles operating in California. A proposed regulation is to be presented in mid-2008.

CARB has posted an online survey to gather information on the use of certain on-road diesel vehicles in California. The purpose of the survey is to better understand the age and use of diesel vehicles used in different operations such as long-haul, local delivery, and other types of operations.

The survey is available at www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onrdiesel/onrdiesel_new.htm.

A hard copy version is also available at that website.
