Peterbilt vehicles offered with Cat ACERT engines

Caterpillar's ACERT-technology engines for complying with stricter Environmental Protection Agency emission regulations are provided for order in Peterbilt trucks and tractors, Peterbilt Motors Co announced.

The Caterpillar C15 engine equipped with ACERT technology — with 435 to 550 horsepower ratings — can be ordered for Peterbilt Models 379, 387, 385, 378, and 357. Caterpillar's C7 engine with ACERT — in horsepower ratings of 190 to 300 — can be ordered with Peterbilt's medium-duty Model 330 and low-cab-forward Model 320.Limited production of vehicles spec'd with the engines is underway, with full production expected by fourth-quarter 2003.

Caterpillar C11 and C13 engines with ACERT technology will be available in fourth-quarter 2003.
