Grease guards against salt-related corrosion

BP Lubricants Americas has announced the introduction of Castrol Pyroplex Protection ES, an anti-corrosion formula, extended-service grease designed to shield against salt-related corrosion.
Castrol Pyroplex Protection ES is a synthetic, lithium complex grease designed for on-highway and off-road environments. It is suitable for salt-spreaders, trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty equipment where extended service and maximum wear/corrosion protection is required.
The “stay-in-place” ability combined with mobility and high-pressure performance enables Castrol Pyroplex Protection ES to extend service intervals and reduce wear and tear on moving parts all year long.
In tests, the grease prevented bearing corrosion and provided extended service protection in a concentrated sodium chloride solution non-standard increased severity Emcor Test. Castrol Pyroplex Protection ES has also been GC-LB- and NLGI 1-and 2-approved.
