ExxonMobil has made an addition to its Mobil Delvac line of lubricants and greases: Mobil Delvac extended-life coolant/antifreeze. The new product is designed to provide superior corrosion protection for all cooling system metals, including aluminum, brass, cast iron, steel, solder, and copper. It helps extend coolant drain intervals for any diesel-, gasoline-, or natural gas-powered engine.
Formulated with patented organic corrosion inhibitors and stabilizers, as well as contamination tolerant additives (CTAs), this coolant/antifreeze is compatible with all coolant technologies and can help reduce formation of acids that impede cooling system protection.This is a crucial benefit for engines that feature exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) technology. It can provide up to 600,000 miles of on-highway use, or six years or 12,000 hours of off-highway use.
Mobil Delvac extended-life coolant/antifreeze meets or exceeds all major OEM and industry coolant specifications, including CAT EC-1, Cummins 14603, Detroit Diesel 7SE298, MTU 5048, and Mercedes DBL 7700.
