Isuzu Commercial Truck of America (ICTA) has celebrated the 25th anniversary of Isuzu trucks in the US market with a ceremony at the American Truck Dealers convention. The first Isuzu truck, a KS-22, arrived in America in March 1984 with a retail price of $9,995. Still operational, the truck has been restored for display purposes.

Of the 400,000 Isuzu-built diesel trucks sold in North America since their first arrival, more than 83 percent are still registered and in service.

At the ceremony marking the event, Kazuya Igeta, president of ICTA, said “Isuzu is proud of this milestone. It is an excellent match to Isuzu’s worldwide heritage and commitment to quality.”

Isuzu low-cab-forward trucks are distributed by 205 Isuzu truck dealers and 350 GM W-Series dealers nationwide. Isuzu holds more than 70% market share of the total LCF market.
