J J Keller recently introduced its online Tractor-Trailer Driver Training—School Edition, which is based on the FHWA Model Curriculum and follows Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI) curriculum standards.
Housed on Keller’s Training On Demand site, the Tractor-Trailer Driver Training—School Edition provides resources for instructors to use to enhance their curriculum and provide the functionality to offer distance learning for students.
Subscribers to the online course receive a full complement of training resources designed to follow all 33 chapters of Keller’s Tractor-Trailer Driver Training Manual. Each chapter includes full-bodied training resources, including:
• Overview and objectives
• Instructor’s guide
• Student manual
• PowerPoint presentations
• Related documents, charts, images, and clip art
• Keller’s award-winning videos (more than 80 transportation safety titles available)
• Online interactive training courses (available for separate purchase)
Instructors can utilize the streaming, video-based training content in the classroom or take advantage of the built-in distance learning capabilities by providing students with remote access to the videos. Instructors will be able to download the online content for use on their own Learning Management System (LMS). They can also upload their own training documents into the system. More online, interactive training can also be purchased and assigned, as needed, from within the site. Built-in recordkeeping tools keep track of students’ progress throughout the curriculum.
