Peterbilt's hybrid vehicles
are eligible for EPA grants

Mar 6, 2009 9:16 AM

Peterbilt’s complete line of hybrid products are eligible for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grants of up to 25% of the total quoted vehicle cost.

Hybrid system developer Eaton Corporation has collaborated with the Environmental Defense Fund to complete and submit applications on behalf of Peterbilt and its customers to receive the available Diesel Emission Reduction Act grant discounts.

Additional federal tax credits of up to $12,000, as well as state and municipal funding, may also be available to offset hybrid equipment costs further.

Peterbilt hybrid vehicles eligible for the discount include the medium-duty Model 330 Hybrid Electric and Model 335 Hybrid Electric, available in a Class 7 truck or tractor configuration.
