International selects Dealer of Year for 2005

International Truck and Engine Corp has recognized Tom Thayer of International Truck Sales of Richmond (VA) as its 2005 Dealer of the Year. He was honored at the firm's 26th annual Circle of Excellence black-tie awards ceremony, held at the Four Seasons Resort Wailea in Maui, Hawaii. Thayer is the seventh recipient of this honor, awarded annually to only one of the more than 350 International dealers and distributors worldwide.
The Circle of Excellence was established to honor International dealerships that best exemplify commitment to the International Diamond Standards Program. This program measures dealer performance in terms of operating and financial standards, market representation, and customer satisfaction.
Thayer worked for Mack Trucks for 14 years and International Truck and Engine Co for two years as vice-president-Southeast Region. He became dealer principal of International Truck Sales of Richmond in 1998 and has been a Circle of Excellence winner every year since.
