SRT acquires some assets of Covenant

Southern Refrigerated Transport (SRT) has acquired certain assets of Chattanooga TN-based Covenant Transport and plans to hire about 250 new employees.
SRT, a truckload carrier headquartered in Texarkana AR, says most of the new staffers will be drivers. The company will add about 200 new trucks to its fleet, and the Covenant truck fleet will be handled as a separate division.
