UD Trucks have Transynd as standard fill

Aug 1, 2005 12:00 PM

All Allison transmissions installed in 2006 model year medium-duty UD Trucks will feature Allison's Transynd automatic transmission fluid as factory-fill standard equipment, according to Dayle Wetherell, Nissan Diesel America's senior vice-president and general manager.

“Our decision to use Transynd as the factory-fill fluid will offer our customers a real financial advantage in terms of significantly longer service intervals, reduced service downtime and lower overall costs of operation”, said Wetherell. “By extending the service intervals from 24 months or 50,000 miles to 48 months or 100,000 miles, we're keeping the truck on the job and out of the shop for routine service.”
