Dec 3, 2009 10:15 AM

GE Capital Fleet Services will host a free webinar December 8, 2009, as part of an Environmental Performance webinar series, which will examine trends in the truck fleet industry. Set for 2 pm Eastern time, this second webinar of the series will address 2010 clean diesel mandates and proposed environmental regulations for medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

The Medium & Heavy Truck Environmental Policy Update webinar will feature Rich Kassel, senior director, Natural Resources Defense Council; and Ken Gillies, truck operations manager, GE Capital Fleet Services.

Topics to be discussed will include a review of current federal environmental policies for medium and heavy trucks and how these will affect the trucking industry. Speakers will highlight government funding opportunities including stimulus packages and transportation bills and discuss case studies of large truck fleets that have become more efficient in this new regulated environment. The webinar will address the impact of current and proposed future clean air regulations for medium- and heavy-truck fleets and will provide tips to deal with these mandates.

Participants can interact directly with speakers by submitting questions during the seminar. For further information, e-mail www.fleetwebinar@ge.com.
