Worldwide Equipment
acquires WV dealer

Dec 14, 2010 10:33 AM

Worldwide Equipment has increased its dealer network to 13 locations with the addition of General Truck Sales in Charleston WV. Previously owned by Charles H “Chuck” Haden III and O D Bush, the Volvo and Isuzu brand dealership, in business since 1937, will now also carry Mack and Kenworth products as well as Benson, Wabash, and Transcraft trailers.

The company will integrate the operations into its dealer network, to operate as Worldwide Equipment–Charleston Division. This location will offer new and used truck sales, parts and service support, finance, insurance, and leasing. Current staff will remain in place to continue offering sales and service to the Charleston market, and Worldwide Equipment also anticipates increasing staff numbers as growth allows.

Worldwide Equipment also operates 12 other full-service dealership locations, along with 20 parts and leasing stores, in West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio.
