Plymouth WI-based cheese manufacturer Sargento Foods Inc plans to acquire Portionables Inc, a Bellingham WA-based food producer. Terms of this transaction were not provided.

With plants in North Sioux City SD and Bellingham, Portionables produces frozen sauce and other food products.

Sargento intends to use Portionables’ capabilities, especially in individually quick-frozen products, to expand its new product line. Portionables markets products including sauces, soups, desserts, and fruit and vegetable purees to restaurants, cafeterias, and homes across North America.
