Dot Foods Inc, the Mt Sterling IL-based redistributor, is planning to build a new distribution center in Burley ID this fall. The company previously serviced distributors in the Northwest through its Modesto CA distribution center, and this marks its first DC in the area.

Situated on 40 acres, the new 140,000-square-foot facility will service Dot clients in Idaho, Utah, Washington, Oregon, and parts of Nevada and Wyoming. This multi-temperature facility, Dot’s ninth DC, will open in July 2008.

A family-owned business, Dot has distribution centers in Modesto, Lemont IL, Vidalia GA, Liverpool NY, Williamsport, MD, Ardmore OK, and its main center in Mt Sterling. It intends to open a DC in Cambridge City IN this autumn.
