ALDI Inc. selects RedPrairie
for distribution management

Mar 17, 2009 8:34 AM

RedPrairie Corporation has announced ALDI Inc.’s selection of its Transportation Management (TMS) system to coordinate shipments across ALDI’s network of North American distribution centers.

ALDI is an international grocery retailing industry with nearly 1,000 stores in the United States alone. Serving more than 18 million customers each month, the company features an assortment of its own select brands, and applies efficient business and operational practices to save customers up to 50 percent on purchases.

The ALDI team evaluated multiple product offerings, and after an extensive review process, selected RedPrairie for its best-of-breed functionality and store-oriented approach to supply chain management.

RedPrairie’s TMS streamlines all aspects of the transportation life-cycle and provides a collaborative planning and scheduling environment. This enables stores, distribution centers, suppliers, and carriers to more easily control the complexities of global distribution.
