IFDA event deals with today's urgent challenges

Under The Theme Bridges to Success, this year's Foodservice Distribution Conference & Expo had a program planned to provide vital information and resources for addressing the more pressing challenges facing foodservice distributors. Among the issues that were tackled: operational efficiency, leveraging the advantages available by incorporating information technology, and better managing transportation and distribution center operations and expenses.
Sponsored by the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), the event was held in mid-October in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
There were nearly 50 educational sessions, all designed for practical take-away knowledge to help attendees take on the chief current issues that drive competitiveness and long-term profitability.
In addition, the event included an operations-focused exposition of the newest offerings by suppliers and service providers.
