IFDA report provides financial benchmarks
Jan 1, 2009 12:00 PM
The 2008 IFDA Distributor Productivity Financial Report (DPFR) delivers financial and operations benchmark data that foodservice distributors can use to compare their operating results against others in the industry. Data in the report are organized by Typical Foodservice Distributor (all respondents) and High Profit Firms, as well as by sales volume data based on two sales volume levels (less than $75 million in sales and more than $75 million in sales) to account for managing companies of different sizes.
The study examines profitability results, expense management, and return on investment data from foodservice distributors reporting results for the year 2007. It also contains a section profiling financial results including Return on Investment, Income Statement, Expenses in Relationship to Gross Margin, Operating Expenses by Department, Balance Sheet, Financial Ratios, Asset Productivity Ratios, Growth and Cash Sufficiency Ratios, Operating Productivity Ratios, and Employee Productivity Ratios.
Participating companies receive a complimentary copy of the completed study, plus an individual company report, designed specifically for their company. The final report is available for purchase in electronic form or hard copy. For instructions on ordering the report, click here or contact Myra Shelton at (703) 532-9400.
