Jolly Good Meat Products of Los Angeles CA is recalling approximately 600 pounds of ready-to-eat and raw banger sausage rolls because they may contain eggs, an allergen that is not declared on the label, reports the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
Products subject to recall are 8.9-pound cases of ready-to-eat Jolly Good Banger Rolls and 24-pound cases of raw Jolly Good Banger Rolls. Each box bears "Est. # 6216" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The Banger Rolls products were produced in September and October 2008, and were shipped to distributors in California for further distribution to retail establishments and restaurants. A routine FSIS inspection discovered the problem.
FSIS has received no reports of illness due to consumption of these products.
