Oct 1, 2007 12:00 PM

Franchise Foodservice Inc's foodservice contracts with Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and other chains will be taken over by McLane Foodservice Inc, according to a Business Journal of Milwaukee article.

Oak Creek WI-based Franchise, which is now in receivership, has entered into a transition support agreement with McLane and will transfer its operations to the firm during the next two months.

According to the Business Journal of Milwaukee, Franchise will permanently halt its Oak Creek operations in November 2007, with 125 workers losing their jobs.

McLane will consider positions for qualified Franchise employees as part of the agreement. Franchise now has 111 workers. Carrollton TX-based McLane operates 18 distribution centers in the United States, including one in Sturtevant WI.
