Tony Sarsam

Nestlé USA has announced that Tony Sarsam has been named president of a newly formed Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Division for Nestlé USA, based in Oakland CA.

This new DSD Division will manage direct store delivery operations for these Nestlé USA businesses: Nestle’s newly acquired frozen pizza brands—DiGiorno, California Pizza Kitchen, Tombstone, and Jack’s—and brands manufactured in the United States by Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream—Dreyer’s/Edy’s, Haagen-Dazs, The Skinny Cow, and Nestlé Drumstick.

Sarsam was previously the executive vice-president of sales and operations for Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, a separate Nestlé USA division he joined in 2006. He began his career at PepsiCo, where he served numerous roles including factory manager, director of finance, region sales vice-president for Frito-Lay, and vice-president of sales strategy for PepsiCo North America.

Nestlé has been named one of “The World’s Most Admired Food Companies” in Fortune magazine for 13 consecutive years. Nestlé USA, with 2009 sales of $10.4 billion, is part of Nestlé SA in Vevey, Switzerland, which had 2009 sales of $99 billion.
