Philadelphia Wholesale
Produce Market to open

The Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market (PWPM), home to 26 fresh produce merchants in a 700,000-square-foot facility, announced that the new market, located at 6700 Essington Avenue in Philadelphia PA, will officially open its doors for business June 5, 2011, at 10 am EDT.

This new PWPM will provide high quality, fresh produce to customers within a 500-mile radius. With a state-of-the-art cold chain management system in place, the facility has the ability to maintain temperature effectively, thereby supplying customers fresher products with a longer shelf life.

Officially, the current market on South Galloway Street will close June 2 at 4 pm EDT.
