US Foodservice has acquired the local restaurant distribution business of White Apron, a Brea CA-based supplier and processor of premium fresh meats. The business will be integrated into the US Foodservice–Los Angeles division, headquartered in La Mirada CA.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“The addition of the White Apron local restaurant distribution business will expand our customer base to include some of the leading restaurants in Southern California,” said Gene Steffes, division president, US Foodservice–Los Angeles. “White Apron will continue to operate as a wholesale meat supplier and processor.”

White Apron will be a preferred supplier to US Foodservice of premium fresh meats in the Southern California market. In addition, White Apron will continue to service its retail and other non-distribution customers.

Two White Apron protein specialists will join US Foodservice–Los Angeles division to serve customers.

Founded in 1952 in Brea, White Apron processes and supplies a line of protein products to retail accounts, food processors, foodservice operations, and other customers.
