Green Supply Chain Forum scheduled

Green Supply Chain Forum, featuring best practices for global supply chains from leading companies, is set for Feb 7, 2008, at Kovens Conference Center, Florida International University's Biscayne Bay Campus, in Miami FL. Some of the featured companies and topics include:

  • Stonyfield Farm Inc (part of Group Danone) — “Achieving Profitability through Environmentally and Socially Responsible Practices,” Gary Hirshberg, chief executive officer

  • Hewlett-Packard — “Green Supply Chain Practices in Reverse Logistics,” Salvador Romo-Fragoso, director of operations

  • General Motors — “Best Practices in Green Supplier Management,” Terry Cullum, director of corporate responsibility, environment and energy

  • iGPS & Osborne Architects — “Best Practices in Green Warehousing and Facility Design,” Bob Moore, CEO, iGPS and Doug Lancashire, Osborne Architects

  • Environmental Protection Agency — “Regulation and Best Practices in the Trenches,” panel discussion

  • University of Tennessee — “The Business Case for Green,” panel discussion

The Forum is presented and hosted by the Ryder Center for Supply Chain Management in the College of Business Administration, and the college's Institute of Technology and Innovation at Florida international University.
