Albertson's LLC intends to acquire Raley's 10 stores in New Mexico. The acquisition includes one closed and eight operating stores in Albuquerque, and one store in Taos. Addition of the stores will double Albertson’s store base in the Albuquerque region.

After the acquisition is complete, the acquired stores will become part of the supermarket chain’s Southwest division. Based in Tolleson AZ, the Southwest division operates 78 stores in Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso TX. This asset transaction is expected to be complete in early August, subject to customary government approval.
Albertson's has more than 47,000 employees and operates in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, and Utah.
