XATA Corporation has announced that Texas-based Brookshire Grocery Company selected XATA as its preferred provider of onboard computer technology.

Brookshire Grocery chose the XATANET fleet operations software platform and services for its fleet of more than 75 vehicles. XATA is also providing implementation and training services to ensure a smooth adoption of the system. Implementation rollout is expected to be completed by the end of November 2009.

The company produces a variety of food products for its stores, which include Brookshire’s Food, Super 1 Food, Olé Foods, and ALPS (Always Low Price Store).

“We really like how XATA is evolving its fleet optimization technology,” said Scott Reilly, vice-president of logistics, Brookshire Grocery Company. “With XATANET, we have a fleet operations solution that can expand as we need it.”

Brookshire’s is using XATANET to monitor and manage the performance of its fleets, including delivery details and driver behavior, such as speeding, excessive idling, and hours-of-service (HOS) compliance.
