CHEP, a provider of managed pallet pooling systems, announced a new contract for shipping platform systems with Del Monte Fresh Produce, one of the nation’s largest marketers and distributors of fresh and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables.
Del Monte Fresh Produce transports branded bananas, melons, and pineapples to supermarket chains, club stores, foodservice distributors, and wholesalers across North America on CHEP pallets.
CHEP has been the preferred shipping platform for Del Monte Fresh Produce in North America since 2006 because it aligns with customer requirements, eliminates most product damage and rejections, and meets the company’s environmental sustainability objectives.
Emanuel Lazopoulos, senior vice-president, North America sales and product management at Del Monte Fresh Produce, said, “CHEP consistently delivers high-quality, reliable pooling solutions to our facilities and consistently demonstrates in-country expertise that results in our products being delivered to our customers without us having to worry about the reliability and quality of our pallets.”
