Hawaiian supermarket chain picks Intesource

Jul 1, 2003 12:00 PM

Intesource, a Phoenix AZ-based food industry procurement company, has signed an agreement with Foodland Super Market Ltd of Honolulu HI, the largest supermarket chain in Hawaii. Under terms of the agreement, Foodland will use the Intesource suite and services to assist in procuring various goods and services. Effective immediately, the agreement follows the successful completion of a pilot program conducted in December 2002.

Composed of six modules, the Intesource procurement suite is a hosted, Web-based application designed to integrate with a corporation's infrastructure. The system leverages the flexibility and convenience of the Web to enable purchasers to reduce costs and improve efficiencies throughout the procurement cycle. Companies can access the best market pricing for goods and services and pass savings onto customers.
