Stater Brothers acquires control of Santee

Stater Brothers Markets, which had been 50% owner of Santee Dairies Inc, has acquired 100% ownership of Santee from Ralph's Grocery Co and Kroger Co, which had held the remaining 50% share.
A producer of Knudsen milk and buttermilk products in Southern California. Santee also produces milk products for Stater, Ralph's, Bristol Farms, Gelson's, and other independent supermarket retailers.
Colton CA-based Stater currently operates 157 supermarket locations and employs more than 14,000 workers.
