FleetView 3R monitors Carrier-cooled reefers

Sep 20, 2006 8:52 AM, from staff and wire reports

Terion has launched FleetView 3R for monitoring Carrier Transicold-refrigerated trailers. FleetView 3R can monitor a reefer's operation, performance, and environment along with the standard complement of trailer management features. Terion says it is the first trailer tracking provider to integrate with Carrier's new trailer tracking communication interface.

With FleetView 3R, reefer temperature and set points are recorded with all event data and reported via digital wireless data connection to the Terion web-based trailer fleet management tool. Up to 16 active fault codes are reported with each event. Critical fault codes can then be addressed with greater urgency based on customer-defined criteria.

The FleetView module stores temperature logs and can transmit the data by request to validate temperature history. FleetView monitors reefers for unacceptable temperature variances, fuel shortages, low battery levels, and hundreds of reefer fault codes of varying priority. Serious fault codes can be reported to management via e-mail and text message alerts. FleetView detects and reports when unacceptable reefer conditions are self-corrected. This allows managers to prevent unnecessary service calls.
