Reefer operations can now get VeriWise

GE VeriWise Asset Intelligence, the trailer tracking system from GE Equipment Services, is being offered for use with refrigerated trailers. Fleet owners who ship temperature-sensitive cargo, such as fresh produce, dairy, and meat products, can gain added productivity and peace of mind through this tracking technology, says GE.
Provided for dry vans since 2003, the system has now been designed to work with Thermo King-equipped reefer trailers initially, with other lines coming soon. A geo-fencing feature enables unlimited placement of virtual geographic boundaries around specific addresses. A VeriWise-equipped trailer passing through an assigned boundary produces a data report that can be received by e-mail or phone text messaging.
