Stevens Transport rides Pegasus toward growth

Mar 2, 2005 9:58 AM, from staff and wire reports

Stevens Transport has successfully implemented the Transflo Express truckstop scanning service from Pegasus TransTech. The implementation expands a partnership between the companies that has helped the refrigerated carrier grow without adding back-office personnel.

Transflo Express scanning was added in September 2004, and after a smooth implementation, the company has realized key benefits--particularly for drivers, who have their trip documents scanned at a truckstop and then keep the originals. Kathy Whitaker, accounting manager for Stevens, said Transflo Express has already saved drivers a full day on their payroll cycle. It's also reduced payroll-related disputes.

Officials at Dallas TX-based Stevens said the decision to implement Pegasus' truckstop scanning was influenced by five years of positive results from a Transflo imaging and workflow system.
